The Fire Agencies Self Insurance System (FASIS) has met all of the high professional standards established by the California Association of Joint Powers Authorities (CAJPA) that measures the abilities of FASIS to provide efficient services to its member agencies in the areas of governance, finance, claims control, safety and loss prevention, excess coverage, and risk management.

Effective October 10, 2007, FASIS was professionally recognized and awarded a "Certificate of Accreditation" by CAJPA, joining an elite community of accredited joint powers authorities in California, and in October 2010, FASIS achieved and was awarded an Accreditation with Excellence by CAJPA.
